Historic Barn Farmstead Compound
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this Historic Property is one of the most significant and best-preserved English Colonial farmsteads in America.

Built in 1680, the farmhouse has remained largely unchanged since 1750, with original framing.

The barn, constructed in 1721, is a remarkably intact example of early-18th-century English-plan barn construction. Celebrated for its authenticity, it was recognized in 1990 by the New York State Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation as the second most important 18th-century barn in the state. Its location also offers insight into historic settlement patterns unique to eastern Long Island.

Also on the property is a garden, a re-creation of an 18th-century dooryard garden.

The historic windmill can be seen from the property but is actually sited next door.
